Our Sponsors are Vital to our event.  Putting on a festival takes thousands of pounds of upfront investment and all of these costs have to be met, before we even break even.  We have many sponsors, all listed on our event sponsors page.  Please support these local businesses when spending your hard earned!  Without these, the event could not happen.

Whilst COVID prevented me going to see them personally (I caught it!), I emailed them a few questions and I have simply pasted their answers below.  There are some outstanding success stories, and many of these businesses are very young, but already very successful.  We are humbled by their comments and again, we thank them for their support, and we feel very privileged to be supported by them.

Have a Read of this:-

What’s your business/cause called, and what do you sell/manufacture/promote?

iSteel (FGWD Ltd)

We design, manufacture and install bespoke steel/glazed partitions, specialising in ‘industrial style’ doors and screens as well as fire protection steel/glazed screens.

When was your business founded?

iSteel (FGWD Ltd) was formally created in 2019, my background in the glazing industry is around 18 years.

How many people do you employ?

12 people

What’s one thing that sets you apart from similar businesses?

We pride ourselves on being down to earth and cost efficient. Most of our competition are quite large companies that only cater to the commercial sector. iSteel’s core customer base is domestic / the small builder. I would say we set ourselves apart from others simply by been niche and able to work with clients who are not working within the construction industry on a day-to-day basis, offering a ‘handheld’ experience rather than just expecting our client to know all the answers, we work hard to assist them in realising the product they want and do our best to deliver it.

There are many charities that you could have chosen to support, but why are you supporting Bee Kind for Honey?

I personally have known Gemma for pretty much all my life, we have been through all stages of school together. The news of what happened to Honey was shocking and upsetting for anyone to hear, but when its someone you know it’s devastating. My businesses donate to various charities as well as sponsoring local youth football teams and we was more than happy to help Gemma with the festival, she and the team working with her have put all the hard work in!

At the Bee Kind festival, what are you most looking forward to?

I am most looking forward to the live music performing on the day!

What’s your business/cause called, and what do you sell/manufacture/promote?

Glass Walls and Doors (Symphony Services Ltd), a sister company of I-Steel above.

We design, manufacture and install bespoke glazed products, partitions, shopfront, low rise curtain walling, glazed entrances as well as fire rated protection glazed products.

We were born out of lockdown 2020 – we’re a family run business. Aaron formally working in the events industry & Kaynan formally working for a building firm were both on furlough with their skills and talents going to waste decided to put their energy into a new adventure.

How many people do you employ?

Kaynan (step son) & Aaron (step dad) are the company directors and they have two employees Alysha (sister to Kaynan/Step Daughter to Aaron) & Louise, often roping in Erica (Mum to Kaynan & Alysha/wife to Aaron) as well when the workshop is at full capacity!

What’s one thing that sets you apart from similar businesses?

We are family run and offer an array of services/skills.

There are many charities that you could have chosen to support, but why are you supporting Bee Kind for Honey?

Barnsley is a close-knit community and when we heard the devastating news about Honey it hit hard that this could happen and that we wanted to help support those young minds and their families. We want to do anything we can to help the young community so this doesn’t happen to other families.

At the Bee Kind festival, what are you most looking forward to?

The live music and seeing Barnsley come together in memory of Honey

What’s your business/cause called, and what do you sell/manufacture/promote?

We are Gala Tent, the UK’s leading retailer of party tents, plain or printed pop-up gazebos and commercial marquees, as well as all manner of accessories and extras.

When was your business founded?

1999

How many people do you employ?

About 30 people are employed across four different brands of the Gala Group.

What’s one thing that sets you apart from similar businesses?

We are a real family-operated business that has been built on innovating and staying one step ahead in everything that we do. When many of the tents in the field have gone with the wind, Gala Tent structures are usually the last ones standing. This is something that gives us immense pride.

There are many charities that you could have chosen to support, but why are you supporting Bee Kind for Honey?

Gemma came to us at a time that we were able to help. I have the utmost of respect for her and her family for what they’re doing, and as a parent to young girls, her story resonated with me. I know the charity is very new, so if it’s within my power to help it navigate the early days then I’ll do my best. I’m also a fan of festivals!

At the Bee Kind festival, what are you most looking forward to?

I’m looking forward to seeing some bands on stage in a field, and to giving my daughters a little flavour of a festival atmosphere.

Kexborough House Supporting Bee Kind

We are so grateful to the residents at Kexborough house care home, Darton, who have been busy as bees making these fantastic creations for the festival. Pictured is the lovely Joyce with one of her amazing Bees and we would like to thank Joyce and all of her friends, and the staff at Kexborough care home, for this wonderful gesture.

Talented Drag artist signs up to attend the Bee Kind Festival

We are delighted to announce that talented local drag artist Harley Noah has kindly agreed to attend the Bee Kind Festival, in memory of Honey. Fantastic news, thanks for your support!!

Thanks to Gala Tent for your kind sponsorship

Gala Tent provide amazing support for the Bee Kind Festival, in memory of Honey

Since 1999, Gala Tent is a family-run business that has been building a reputation for providing high quality party tents, marquees and pop-up gazebos at an affordable price. A preferred supplier of many event planners and hirers, as well as the NHS and Armed Forces, Gala Tent’s structures are renowned for being the last tents standing, whatever the weather.
Gemma sent Gala Tent an email asking about companies who hire Marquees and Gazebos, after being let down by a local supplier. Gala Tent not only responded immediately, but they also made a gesture that was simply amazing.
Whilst they do not hire equipment, using their portfolio of quality suppliers, they were able to recommend 2 excellent local companies and we now have the gazebos sorted!
And then they went to the next level…..
After hearing that we were also looking for 2 marquees for the Photo Shoot Marquee, and the Princess Marquee, they offered to donate 2 Ex-Display Marquees free of charge, which was an amazing gesture.
They also have a brand new sister company that is a digital Marketing Agency with a difference, and they have suggested that they would like to support us further, in the future.
Not only is it fantastic to be in contact with successful local companies but at such an early time in our development, Bee Kind For Honey are very excited at what this potential future relationship would yield, for both organisations. Hopefully watch this space for further developments, in the future.
Gala Tent will have a gazebo at the Bee Kind Festival, and they will be only too happy to provide information on their fantastic products, which can also be viewed on their website, by clicking their logo above.
Finally, thank you to Ryan Bracha for immediately identifying Bee kind For Honey as a good cause that he would like to be involved with, and to company owner Jason Mace for agreeing to donate the 2 Marquees. It’s people like this that really make the difference.
